Musical Theatre is the combination of acting/theatre skills and dance to create a visual, story-telling performance in which the dancer must portray a certain character. Classes will be theatre-based with concentrated work in basic acting techniques, character development, interpretive movement, scene work, improvisation, stage direction, script analysis, and basic mime techniques. Students will also learn the skills to properly give the illusion they are singing by accurately matching lip movements and facial expressions with a voice track.
